Shamrock Lakes Flags Sewer Risk on North Shamrock Road

By The Blackford Ledger The Blackford Ledger

From the Town of Shamrock Lakes Town Board meeting on September 17, 2026

Shamrock Lakes officials said Sept. 17 that sewer maintenance Phase 2 closed without a new bill, but a possible line problem on North Shamrock Road may need future repair.

Board Vice-President Steve Voller said the town did not owe anything beyond amounts already handled for Phase 2. He also said a video from the system work had been given to sewer-system manager Travis Williamson to review a section where the sewer line appears to have sagged after a sinkhole-related street problem in the same area.

Officials said the concern is a low spot in the main line that could eventually need to be raised or repaired to avoid stoppages or backups. They tied that issue to the town's broader wastewater asset-management work and said the ongoing multi-phase camera inspection is helping document system conditions ahead of a state deadline they described as 2029.

No repair estimate was given at this meeting.
