Shamrock Lakes Sewer Inspection Finds Pipe Sag Near Dam, No Breaks in System
From the Town of Shamrock Lakes Town Board meeting on June 18, 2026
The Phase 2 sewer video inspection in Shamrock Lakes has been completed, and the system is in good overall condition — with one exception.
Inspectors found a dip in the sewer line on North Shamrock Road, between two residential properties near the dam where a previous sinkhole was repaired. The pipe appears to have settled, and a rock was found lodged in the low spot. The crew flushed the rock out and re-videoed the area from both directions. The inspection company recommended getting the dip repaired, as sediment will accumulate there over time.
No breaks, cracks, or leaks were found anywhere else in the system. The crew also performed high-pressure flushing in one area and located a buried manhole cover in a gravel driveway, though it did not need to be raised.
A board member said he wants sewer manager Travis Williamson to review the footage before the town pursues repair estimates. A separate reviewer was scheduled to examine all video footage on Monday, June 22, and report back on whether additional cleaning is needed.
The Phase 2 video inspection was approved in May at $11,790. Any pipe repair near the sinkhole area would be an additional expense.
