Indiana Cyclosporiasis Cases Jump to 820, Blackford County Holds at 1

Indiana's cyclosporiasis outbreak grew to 820 confirmed cases as of July 27, up 110 from 710 on July 24 — a 15.5% increase over the weekend. Blackford County remains at one case.

Allen County leads the state with 144 cases, followed by Marion County at 81, Elkhart County at 51, and DeKalb County at 48. Delaware County, the nearest major county to Blackford, holds at five cases.

Nationally, the FDA is now tracking 12 ongoing foodborne outbreaks, including four separate Cyclospora outbreaks. Michigan has reported over 9,200 cases. Cases have been reported in 41 states.
