Teays River Wind Gets County Road and Decommissioning Deals

Blackford County commissioners approved a road-use package and decommissioning agreement for Teays River Wind Farm LLC, along with Resolution 2026-15, in a series of 3-0 votes.
The actions covered a county roads-and-drains agreement and a separate decommissioning agreement. Together, they move forward another set of county protections tied to the wind project.
Highway Superintendent John Pluimer said the preliminary road map was still incomplete. He said it needed at least two more roads added, along with any haul routes tied to stone deliveries depending on where the material is sourced.
Even with that warning, the board approved the agreements Monday while recognizing the map could need amendment later.
