Tays River Agreements Delayed After Holiday Weekend Drafting Lag
Two county agreements tied to the Tays River wind project were pushed to a later meeting after attorneys did not finish them over the long holiday weekend.
Brown asked commissioners to move both the EDP Renewables road-use agreement and the decommissioning agreement to the next agenda. No dollar amount was discussed during this portion of the meeting.
The delay means the county has not yet finalized terms governing road-use damage and end-of-life responsibilities connected to the project. Those issues will stay open for at least one more meeting cycle.
For residents, the practical effect is simple: the county is still negotiating who is responsible for road impacts and what happens when project equipment reaches the end of its life.
