Sheriff Heflin said the school district and county were working on an agreement for a school-purchased vehicle that would transfer to county ownership and remain assigned to the school resource officer role.

The school board first discussed a possible purchase September 15 without taking a vote. Monday's report added the proposed ownership and assignment arrangement.

Heflin said the vehicle could also be used when school was not in session. No price or executed agreement was established, and commissioners did not approve a transfer during this report.
