From the Shamrock Lakes Town Board meeting in October 2026; exact date unconfirmed

Shamrock Lakes authorized transferring its remaining park-fund money into the General Fund so the park fund could be closed.

Clerk-Treasurer Nichols said the state wanted the fund eliminated and that receipts were being redirected to general. She reported $290.87 in the park fund as of September 30, after first referring to a $269 balance, and said more than $4 had arrived in October.

The exact amount authorized by the motion was unclear. The vote also did not establish that the transfer had already occurred.

In September, the town delayed a park-fund ordinance reading while sorting out the handling of an insurance-related payment. This action addressed the remaining fund balance, not a new park project or expenditure.
