Indiana's Budget Notices portal continued to list Montpelier's proposed 2027 budget at $3,568,553 on Oct. 27, with a proposed property-tax levy of $925,975.

Montpelier opened a public hearing on the proposal Oct. 12. The state listing gives Oct. 26 as the advertised adoption-meeting date, but that date alone does not confirm that the city adopted the budget.

The levy is the proposed amount to be raised through property taxes. Both figures remain proposal amounts in the listing, not confirmation of final adopted spending or taxes.
