From the Montpelier Redevelopment Commission meeting on July 6, 2026

Brad Neff reported 11 PACER grants have been awarded so far, totaling approximately $149,000 in total grant value with about $63,000 in city investment. Almost $90,000 in grant funding remains available. The goal is to spend the entire allocation by year's end.

The High Street Bar was highlighted as a success story — the owner received an 80% grant for new windows, and the business is visibly thriving. Two blighted houses on the 400 block of High Street were demolished using related funding, at a cost of approximately $8,500 for one house, significantly improving the neighborhood's appearance.
