Meridian Health Expansion Decision Expected by End of May in Montpelier

From the Montpelier Redevelopment Commission meeting on May 11, 2026

Meridian Health’s facility at 123 South Main Street is “up and running,” with staff described as “very busy and very happy with the facility,” according to the mayor. Staff have expressed strong interest in expanding into the adjacent city-owned building at 125 South Main for occupational therapy services.

The Meridian Health vice president requested 90 days from their opening date before making a decision on expansion. That deadline falls on May 31, 2026. A conversation is expected at the end of May, with the topic returning to the Redevelopment Commission in June.

The city holds a $99,000 grant earmarked for the 125 South Main renovation that has not yet been spent.
