Meridian Health Eyes Expansion in Montpelier — Possible Pharmacy

Meridian Health Services, which opened a walk-in clinic at 123 South Main Street in February 2026, is "going gangbusters," according to city consultant Dave Geyser. The mayor and Geyser have had preliminary conversations with Meridian's administrative team about expanding next door to 125 South Main.

The expansion could include additional offices and potentially a pharmacy. A meeting with Meridian leadership is expected within the next couple of weeks. The city has $98,250 remaining in renovation funds for the 125 South Main space.

The city is also still waiting for decorative glass panels to be installed on the 123 South Main storefront.

A pharmacy expansion would be significant for Montpelier residents, potentially adding a local option for prescription services.
