Mayor Nef updated the board on the OCRA fire station building addition grant, confirming the application has been submitted to the Indiana Department of Commerce. The city should find out in August whether it was approved — earlier than the previously reported September timeline.
The grant writer "felt good about it," according to the mayor. The project would include drive-through bays and is designed for community-wide use, not just the fire department. The local match for the project is $161,300.
