Council Member Ron Dudelston reported record attendance at Memorial Pool during the recent heat wave, with approximately 358 visitors on one day and 303 the next during Thursday and Friday of extreme heat.

Dudelston credited community organizations sponsoring free admission days: Clear Choice Chiropractic, Hogan's Auto Sales, Grace Church, the Blackford County Democratic Party, and the council and mayor both personally and as a body.

He encouraged additional donations, saying: "If you got 20, 30, 50 bucks that you want to throw in, get a hold of the utility office or even the kids at the pool."

Residents and businesses interested in sponsoring a free admission day can contact the utility office.
