Hartford City: READI Funding Dispersal Reaches 27%

From the Hartford City Redevelopment Commission meeting on June 11, 2026

Economic Development Director Warren Brown provided a brief update on Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (readi\-grant-investigation">READI) funding at the June 11 RDC meeting. READI dispersal funds are at approximately 27%, which Brown described as "a good sign." The RDC has approximately 90% of READI 1 funds committed.

Brown noted the Blackford County READI project is a county-level effort, not a Hartford City-specific project. He offered to arrange a meeting with Greg Marks to provide free business consulting — including sustainability, pricing, and market studies — to the People's Marketplace steering committee.
