Dunkirk Sewer Camera Inspections Turn Up Problems; Mayor Requests Tracking System

By The Blackford Ledger The Blackford Ledger

From the Dunkirk Board of Works and City Council meetings on August 10, 2026

Dunkirk's ongoing sewer camera inspection effort is finding problems at multiple locations, and the mayor has asked the operator to begin providing video clips and short descriptions of each site so the Board of Works can track issues and check them off as they are addressed.

The operator has found "several things in different areas" and is creating a map of problem locations. All findings are being recorded.

Separately, the sewer department has been spraying manhole covers to control weed growth.
