Dunkirk Pool Filling Underway, Opening Still Targeted for May 29

The Dunkirk swimming pool began filling on May 11 despite the fire pumper truck being out of service. The pool was cleaned and filling started, with chemical treatment to begin once the main pool reaches its target level.
An old liner was removed from the baby pool after water was found getting underneath it. The baby pool will be repainted, filled, and tested for water retention. Pool employee orientation is scheduled for May 27, and the pool opening remains targeted for May 29.
