Dunkirk Approves Minutes of Earlier Housing TIF Discussion
From the Dunkirk Planning Commission meeting on October 20, 2026
Dunkirk's Planning Commission approved minutes Oct. 20 documenting an earlier discussion of tax-increment financing and an apartment and housing complex proposal.
The earlier meeting included an explanation of the financing plan by Ed Curtin and a presentation of housing-project pictures. The minutes also described a declaration-resolution plan that had already been accepted and sent to the City Council.
The housing financing effort had previously reached the council. On Sept. 28, Dunkirk approved an engagement letter of up to $50,000 for legal and bond work tied to a planned residential tax-increment financing district for housing additions.
The Oct. 20 vote approved the written record of the earlier Planning Commission discussion. It was not a new vote on the financing declaration or the housing plan itself.
