Depot Park Building in Dunkirk Moves Toward Revised Pricing
From the Dunkirk Parks Board meeting on October 28, 2026
Plans for a concession-and-restroom building at Dunkirk's Webster Depot Park moved toward revised pricing Oct. 28, with a smaller design and a push to obtain multiple bids for a Portland Foundation grant request.
The City Council had authorized Connie Ritter on Oct. 26 to pursue grants for the building and proceed if funding was obtained. The Parks Board discussion two days later supplied more detail about the proposed layout.
A project presenter described a footprint of about 25 feet by 20 feet. The building would contain two restrooms and a mechanical room, along with a concession storage room and a working sink in the concession area.
The revised concept would go to Mid-States for updated pricing. The presenter said the Portland Foundation wants multiple bids, with the package ideally ready by the end of November and needing to be ready by December.
The board's Sept. 23 minutes had already approved Donna Revolt pursuing the foundation grant process for a concession stand with bathrooms to replace a storage shed at Depot Park. No final construction approval or grant award occurred Oct. 28.
