Dunkirk authorized Connie Ritter to pursue grants for a small concession-and-restroom building at Webster Depot Park and to proceed if funding is obtained.

Ritter told the council Oct. 26 that the beautification committee wants the building roughly where the park's storage building now stands. The Park Board could contribute, but the committee would need grant funding for its share.

The Portland Foundation was named as a funding target. The discussion also raised seeking support from the Dunkirk Foundation.

The existing storage shed likely would no longer be needed if the new building includes storage space. No decision on the shed's disposal was established.
