County Council Adopts 2027 County Budget
From the Blackford County Council budget-adoption meeting on September 9, 2026
Blackford County Council adopted the county's 2027 budget by a 6-0 roll-call vote during its Sept. 9 budget-adoption meeting.
After opening the separate budget session, Jack Beckley asked for public comment and heard none. Council then took up the county budget. A motion was made to approve it, Jim Weiseman seconded it, and the measure passed unanimously.
The transcript clearly preserves the 6-0 outcome. It does not clearly preserve the budget totals, levy figures, or departmental appropriations, so those numbers could not be confirmed from the recording alone.
Even without the full figures in the transcript, the vote locked in the county government's operating plan for 2027.
