Blackford County Broadband Project Launches — Mainstream Fiber Networks Installing Infrastructure at County Tower Sites

The county's broadband expansion project with Mainstream Fiber Networks is getting started, with infrastructure work now underway at county tower sites.

Economic Development Director Warren Brown and Commissioner Dan Borgenheimer have been meeting with Mainstream Fiber Networks. Infrastructure work includes backup generators, box cabinets, and conduit for fiber connections at the county's five tower locations.

Commissioner Laura Coons obtained quotes for tower site preparation. Of three companies contacted, only Dynamic Lawn Solutions submitted a bid: $1,400 to mow, clear debris, and spray all five county tower sites. The commissioners approved the bid.
