Two More Fiber Expansion Projects Approved in Hartford City

From the Hartford City Common Council meeting on August 3, 2026

The Hartford City Common Council approved two fiber expansion requests, both by 5-0 votes.

The first authorizes fiber boring near the State Road 26 and Cleave area for the school district's fiber project. The second grants a right-of-way at 1501 West Water Street for a separate fiber expansion project.

Dan Eckstein noted that the continued expansion means "eventually everybody's gonna have an option of getting fiber."
