From the Dunkirk City Council meeting on October 26, 2026

Dunkirk approved two water-bill adjustments Oct. 26 for underground leaks, including a $1,639.83 adjustment at 315 West Washington.

Clerk-Treasurer Lowe said that property still used an older meter system. The city learned of the problem through a monthly report, and the adjustment covered a carryover between billing cycles.

The second adjustment was $192.40 at 1015 South Main Street, where a newer meter was in use. Lowe said both adjustments had been approved by Aaron Huey before she brought them to the council.

The council approved both requests. The two cases involved different meter systems and sharply different adjustment amounts.
