From the Montpelier Board of Public Works meeting on October 14, 2026

Prospective Montpelier police officer Trevor Hill advanced to a retirement-system paperwork step after Brad Neff requested board action.

Neff said Hill was moving through the process of becoming an officer and had completed PERF paperwork, referring to the public retirement system. A motion and second followed the request to move him to the next step.

The action did not establish a final hire, sworn appointment or completed retirement-system acceptance. No salary or start date was announced.
