Blackford County commissioners approved a bid for 14 acres near the transfer station in a 2–1 vote.
The bid was $180 per acre per year, or $2,520 annually and $7,560 over three years. Commissioners had voted September 21 to seek bids for farming rights instead of holding the ground for the Soil and Water office.
