From the Shamrock Lakes Town Board meeting in October 2026; exact date unconfirmed

Shamrock Lakes' sewer operator reported that the plant was operating during a recent visit but had been slow to come back online after an outage.

The cause was not established. The operator said he would notify the board of further problems. No repair cost or purchase was approved.

He also reported contacting state personnel about whether the town must participate in Discharge Monitoring Report–Quality Assurance proficiency testing, a program that checks laboratories' analytical performance. The town's specific participation requirements remained unresolved.

EPA guidance describes annual participation by major and selected minor permitted facilities. It does not establish an exemption or testing schedule for Shamrock Lakes.

The operating and testing discussion did not establish an untreated discharge, failed test or new pollution violation.
