Shamrock Lakes Releases Lien to Facilitate HUD Property Sale

The town board voted to release a lien on a property at 2816 South Angling Pike to allow a sale to proceed. Carrington Mortgage paid the lien on March 31 and plans to sell the property to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which would then resell it to an individual buyer.

The board agreed to release the lien before receiving the June disbursement, when lien payments are typically distributed. This follows the same pattern as a previous property at 4 Lakeview, where Carrington sold to HUD and HUD resold to the current owners.
