Shamrock Lakes Board President Completes PACER Road Rating Certification

By Derek Wheeler The Blackford Ledger

From the Shamrock Lakes Town Board meeting on May 21, 2026

The Shamrock Lakes board president has completed PACER certification — a pavement condition rating credential — through Purdue's Local Technical Assistance Program. He attended in-person training at West Lafayette and passed the online test with a score of 83 out of 100.

The PACER certification is required for eligibility in Indiana's Community Crossings grant program, which provides 75% state funding for road repaving projects. Shamrock Lakes is not applying for a Community Crossings grant this year but must evaluate its roads and submit ratings by year-end to maintain compliance for future applications.
