The town board passed a public participation ordinance on second reading, establishing formal rules for public comments at board meetings. The ordinance, drafted by the town attorney, creates time limits and procedures for public comment. Board members described it as "not meant to muzzle or stifle anybody, but to bring order." The town previously had no formal public comment policy.
