Racetrack Drainage Issue in Montpelier Still Lacks a Fix
A drainage problem near the Montpelier racetrack remained unresolved on Sept. 8 as Blackford County Drainage Board members said they still lacked enough information to choose a fix.
County Surveyor Paul Schriver had measured elevations around the site before being hospitalized. Board members said they still needed more information to determine whether runoff could be sent into an existing city storm-drain system or whether a larger reroute around the city would be needed.
No cost estimate was approved during this meeting. The discussion stayed at the fact-finding stage.
