From the Blackford County Commissioners meeting on October 19, 2026

Blackford County's transfer station will have its last operating day of the year November 21, Highway Superintendent Pluimer reported.

That season-end date also appeared in the October 5 commissioners minutes. November 21 hours and alternate disposal arrangements were not announced in this report.

Pluimer also said the highway department had received one application for its truck-driver opening. The opening would remain advertised through the end of November, with hiring expected in December. No hiring vote or salary authorization followed.
