Montpelier Resident Sharon Klaus Receives Golden Hoosier Award

Montpelier resident Sharon Klaus has been selected for the Golden Hoosier Award, Indiana's highest honor for volunteer service by residents 65 and older, Brad Neff announced.
The ceremony will be held September 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Indiana Statehouse, presented by Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith. The mayor described Klaus as a long-time community volunteer who is "so deserving" of the recognition.
The Golden Hoosier recognizes individuals who have volunteered in their community for three or more years.
