Montpelier will again hold citywide Halloween trick-or-treating from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Council members said those have been the city's traditional hours and voted to use the same window this year. The discussion also referred to a downtown Hometown Halloween event that is expected to involve Jefferson Street closures.

The vote was routine, but it gives families and event organizers an official time window to plan around later this month.
