Montpelier Fire Station Grant Advances to Third Reading

The OCRA fire station grant process continues on schedule. Fire Chief Bob King confirmed the second reading passed at the May 11 council meeting. A third and final reading is scheduled for June. The OCRA grant application is on track for submission by June 2, with award decisions expected in the first week of September. The city has committed a HTMLPRESERVE0.

In other fire department news, the squad vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership in Marion for a DEF sensor repair and was expected back May 13-14. The department reported four fires and 11 EMS runs for the month.
