Montpelier Fire Department Reports 17 Runs, Applies for County Grant

Fire Chief King reported 12 EMS runs and 5 fire runs this reporting period at the August 12 Board of Public Works meeting. The department's tanker had its lever handle replaced at a cost of approximately $2,000.

Chief King has applied for a Blackford County Community Grant, with a decision expected September 21. The fire department is also planning joint training exercises with Hartford City at their new training hub, including live burn exercises.
