Montpelier Downtown Properties Advance: Glass Panel, Interior Work, and Building Purchase

Three downtown redevelopment projects on South Main Street are advancing, Dave Kieser of CDS Engineering reported.
123 South Main Street: The decorative glass panel is scheduled for installation in September, after the Jamboree.
125 South Main Street (Meridian Health location): The city is obtaining quotes for interior improvements including ceiling, flooring, and partition walls. The $98,250 in federal funds allocated for this property must be spent within the next year.
121 South Main Street (former Clevinger building): The purchase has not yet closed because the building is being divided in half, which requires a new legal description. Once completed, the acquisition will help finish the 117 South Main renovation by creating a common entrance and exit between the two properties. This purchase is linked to the $99,000 RBDG grant the city was recently awarded.
