Montpelier Data-Center Talk Was an Inquiry, Not a Project
From the Montpelier meeting on October 26, 2026
A request for information about Montpelier's industrial park had not become a data-center project, Mayor Neff said at the Oct. 26 meeting.
The speaker said someone had asked the city about the industrial park. Social-media discussion then made it sound as though a project was already underway, which Neff said was not true.
The conversation turned to possible county rules for data centers, including how water use might be addressed.
