By Derek Wheeler The Blackford Ledger

From the Montpelier Common City Council meeting on June 8, 2026

The Montpelier City Council voted unanimously to approve the city's water emergency contingency plan. The mayor noted the plan had been discussed at the prior month's meeting and council members had time to review it. The motion passed quickly with minimal discussion.

The plan had been awaiting council sign-off since at least mid-May.
