Montpelier has $70,000 remaining in housing-project and housing preservation grant funds that city consultant Dave Geyser's team is preparing to distribute. Applications will be available at the clerk-treasurer's office "soon" — the kickoff was expected in April or May. The program helps Montpelier homeowners with repairs.
Geyser noted the city plans to apply for $100,000 in the next funding cycle, up from the current grant amount.
Homeowners interested in the program should watch for application availability at the clerk-treasurer's office.
