From the Hartford City Redevelopment Commission meeting on September 17, 2026

Megan Miller resigned from the Hartford City Redevelopment Commission in a Sept. 15 letter read aloud at the board's Sept. 17 meeting, leaving Dan Eckstein to choose her replacement.

Eckstein told the board Miller said she had recently missed meetings because of conflicts and no longer felt she could give the commission the attention it deserved. During the discussion, speakers said Miller had served about six and a half years.

Board members also said Miller held a mayoral appointment, which means the replacement decision will rest with Eckstein. He said he would begin looking for someone new and hoped to bring in a different outside perspective.

No formal vote to accept the resignation was clearly preserved in the transcript segment reviewed, but the resignation was discussed in open meeting and the search for a replacement is now underway.
