Jail Holds 70 as Blackford County Deputy Finishes Training

Sheriff Heflin reported 70 inmates in the Blackford County Jail, near the unusually high level he had reported at the previous meeting.
He also said the department's newest deputy had graduated from the academy and was working independently. The deputy would reach one year with the department in November.
No new position or security expenditure was approved during the report.
