Hartford City 'Saturday in the Park' July 4th Celebration Finalized

The Parks Board finalized plans for "Saturday in the Park," Hartford City's July 4th celebration. The event will begin at 3:00 PM at the football field area, with the stage at the west end zone.

The schedule includes a water balloon fight, all-wet bounce houses, a Spark dance performance on stage, and a punt/pass/kick competition. Wrestling runs from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the 50-yard line. A veterans honoring ceremony, organized by Doug Smith, will follow wrestling. Live music by Derek Jones runs from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with fireworks at dark.

Concessions will be operated by the softball, baseball, and football organizations. Inflatables are confirmed but the invoice has not yet been received. All claims for stage, sound, and wrestling have been submitted. A final schedule and event map were to be completed after the meeting.
