Hartford City: RDC Moves to Consolidate Newberry Building Service Contracts

The RDC voted 4-0 to authorize maintenance staff member Megan Westfall to solicit quotes from at least two companies to consolidate multiple building service contracts for the Newberry Building into a single provider.

Currently, the building has separate contractors for fire extinguishers, alarm systems, kitchen hood service, and other maintenance functions. RDC President Dudelston described the current alarm system provider, ProTech of Richmond, as "problematic." Westfall reported that managing the courthouse through a single provider has been much simpler.
