Hartford City: Parker Property Bankruptcy Case Advances — Tabled 30 Days

The long-running case at 1102 North High Street, owned by Matt and Donna Jean Parker, advanced slightly at the June 10 Property Standards Board meeting.

City Attorney Rothstein confirmed the bankruptcy case: a Chapter 13 filing (case 24-11-006-REG, filed August 1, 2024). Rothstein said he believes no automatic stay prevents the board from acting on the existing teardown order but needs to review the case ledger to confirm — particularly regarding a motion about a purchase agreement and $7,500 payment to the bankruptcy trustee.

The board tabled the case for 30 days — until the July meeting — to allow Rothstein to complete his analysis.
