Hartford City Closes Dormant COVID-Era Grant Account

From the Hartford City Common Council meeting on August 3, 2026

Clerk-Treasurer Dana Watley received council approval to close a dormant bank account at First Financial Bank that held $500 from a COVID-19 OCHRE grant — a program that provided revolving loans for small businesses.

The account had been dormant for over a year and First Financial sent notice. The $500 will be transferred to the city's main account at Citizens State Bank. Resolution 2026-40 was approved 5-0.
