Extreme Heat Warning Extended Through Friday in Blackford County

The National Weather Service has extended the Extreme Heat Warning for Blackford County through Friday, July 3, at 8:00 PM. Heat index values may reach up to 105°F. This marks the fifth consecutive day of extreme heat conditions since the warning was first issued on Monday, June 29.

Thursday’s forecast calls for a high of 95°F with a heat index of 103°F. Friday is expected to reach 93°F with a heat index of 102°F. Rain relief may begin Friday night, with a 40% chance of storms after 9:00 PM.

Independence Day on Saturday carries a high of 90°F and a 70% chance of storms after 2:00 PM.
