Three Dunkirk employees passed their lifeguard certification exams at a cost of $255 per person, totaling $765. The certifications are part of an ongoing effort to reach a staffing goal of eight lifeguards for the city pool, as discussed at the June 22 Board of Works meeting.

All three employees who took the exam passed. The city had previously discussed hiring a trainer and combining newly certified staff with two already-certified applicants to reach the target of eight.
