Dunkirk Submits OCRA Blight Grant Application

By Derek Wheeler The Blackford Ledger

From the Dunkirk Board of Works meeting on June 8, 2026, and the Dunkirk City Council meeting on June 8, 2026

Dunkirk has submitted an application for an Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs blight elimination grant. The application was prepared and submitted by Klein Peter, according to the mayor. Both the Board of Works and City Council approved the submission and an associated three-point program.

The grant award is expected in the first week of September. The transcript garbles the firm's name in some instances as "Clyde Peter" or "Client Peter," but context confirms the firm is Klein Peter.
