Railroad Requests Dunkirk Paint Crossing Markers Citywide

From the Dunkirk City Council meeting on June 22, 2026
The railroad is requesting that Dunkirk paint crossing markers at each railroad crossing in the city, Council Member Randy reported. The city has ordered stencils and will use street paint for the markings.
One railroad crossing is currently barricaded off due to a structural issue. The city is waiting for the county to make repairs. A previous fix — metal placed underneath with concrete poured on top — was a temporary patch that has not held.
