Pickleball Court Paint Job Draws Criticism From Dunkirk Park Board
From the Dunkirk Park Board meeting on May 27, 2026
Multiple Dunkirk Park Board members criticized the current state of the pickleball court painting. One member described the result as looking "awful," citing black paint running over the court edges and a large pool of green paint or primer at the entrance.
The court surface has gone through multiple color changes — first a large white spot, then black paint, and now green, which may be primer. It remains unclear who is performing the painting work or when they plan to return to finish.
The board said they will follow up to get the painting completed properly. A discussion of official pickleball court rules was tabled to the next meeting on June 24. Board member Dane Mumbower will email examples of court rules from other facilities for members to review.
